01

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Ayanle Ahmed Abdi, doing business as Yuily, a sole proprietorship (“Yuily”, “we”). By creating an account or using Yuily, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Yuily.

02

Who can use Yuily

You must be 16 or older. By creating an account you confirm that you are. If we learn that someone under 16 has an account, we delete it.

03

Your account and sign-in codes

  • Use your real email address. Your display name is what other people see.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Each new sign-in also needs a code we email you: don’t share it, and don’t enter it anywhere but Yuily.
  • You’re responsible for what happens in your account. One account per person.
  • If you think someone else is using your account, change your password and tell us.

04

How to behave in chats

Group chats are for people who play at a place. Be decent. Don’t:

  • harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone;
  • post hateful, sexual or violent content, or anything illegal;
  • share someone else’s private information;
  • spam, advertise without permission, or scam people;
  • try to break, overload or get around Yuily’s security, or use bots to scrape it.

A chat’s admins and a place’s staff can mute, remove and ban people from their chats. You can report a message or a person, and block someone so you no longer see their messages.

05

Starting chats, and when they're deleted

  • You can start one new group chat every 14 days. Joining chats has no limit.
  • A chat with no new messages for 30 days is deleted automatically, with all its messages, its members list and its photo. It can’t be brought back. Everyone in it gets a notice in Yuily 7 days before. Any new message starts the 30 days again.
  • The person who started a chat can give it a photo (JPEG or PNG, up to 1 MB), a name and a description. Anyone can see them.

06

Meeting people in person

Yuily helps people find places to play and find each other. That’s all it does. Yuily doesn’t run, organize or supervise any game, event or place, and doesn’t check who people are, their backgrounds, or the condition of any place.

Sports carry a risk of injury, and meeting people you don’t know carries risks too. If you play or meet anyone through Yuily, you do so at your own risk. Use good judgment: meet in public, tell someone where you’re going, and leave if anything feels wrong. Place information comes from map providers and may be out of date: check a place’s hours and rules yourself.

07

Your content

You own what you post: messages, photos, chat names. You give Yuily a license to store, copy and display it to the people it’s meant for, as needed to run Yuily. The license is worldwide and free of charge, and ends when the content is deleted, except that messages stay in their chats after you delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).

Only post what you have the right to post, and nothing that breaks these terms.

08

Removing content and accounts

We may remove content, or limit, suspend or delete an account, if it breaks these terms, puts people at risk, or the law requires it. Where it’s safe and reasonable, we’ll tell you why.

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. What that removes is in the Privacy Policy.

09

Yuily is free; Yuily+ is coming soon

Everything in Yuily is free right now, for every account, and nothing is charged. Yuily+ is coming soon; it isn’t on sale. If that changes, we’ll update these terms and tell you first.

10

Yuily as it is

We work to keep Yuily running and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without promises that it will always be available, error-free, or that place information is correct. We may change or stop features.

11

Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Yuily isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens between people who met through Yuily, at a place found on Yuily, or in a game played there. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it, or $50 if you haven’t paid us anything.

Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law says can’t be limited.

If you break these terms and someone makes a claim against Yuily because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

12

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and if a change matters, we’ll tell you in Yuily or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Yuily after that, you accept the new terms. If you don’t, you can delete your account.

13

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Androscoggin County, Maine, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.

14

Contact

Contact us by email at support@yuily.app. To report a message or a person, use Report in the chat. For anything urgent or unsafe, contact local emergency services first.
